Alec Barnard – Consultant

Originally from Tasmania, Australia, Mr. Barnard has been based in Asia for more than five years. Since graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Geography/Social Science (Edith Cowan University) and Bachelor of Laws (Murdoch University), he has worked primarily in the CSR sector of the garment industry.

Mr. Barnard previously worked for the German fashion company s.Oliver as a Sustainability Manager in Indonesia and then China, before being promoted to Sustainability Regional Manager (East Asia). He also has working experience in Bangladesh and India.

After joining Systain in October 2008, Mr. Barnard is responsible for customer relations and the Asian market, based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
