Mr. Karl Borgschulze – Managing Director

Karl Borgschulze is the Managing Director of Consulting Service International and Systain Asia, where he is in charge of the strategic alignment and sustainable optimisation of production chains in the textile industry both in European and Asian procurement markets. In the context of corporate social responsibility, he has comprehensive expertise in international sustainability management and more than 25 years of experience in the textile industry as well as in the ecological optimisation of value chains.

Mr. Borgschulze is involved in the development of a number of ecological standards such as Pure Wear, bioRe® and the IVN standard. Since 1999 he is a member of the scientific advisory council of the German DTNW textiles research centre in Krefeld.

He is globally involved in sustainability projects (such as organic cotton) as well as consulting in sustainability and CSR reporting. Beside his project work, Mr. Borgschulze is
a key-note speaker on the topic of CSR and sustainability.
