TÜV Rheinland STAR
We are proud to announce our partnership with TÜV Rheinland Group,
a leading provider of technical services worldwide. The groups’ mission
and guiding principle is to achieve sustainable development of safety
and quality in order to meet the challenges arising from the interaction
between man, technology and the environment. Their main product fields
include product testing and certification, industrial safety, auditing and
certification of management systems and training and consulting
services.
The TÜV Rheinland STAR concept is build upon a multi-dimensional
rating to identify and manage business risks. The area of social
responsibility in the supply chain is a major challenge for most
companies within the field of CSR. As Systain has a long-lasting
experience in training and supporting working conditions in global supply
chains, TÜV Rheinland chose Systain to be the approved qualifier to
enhance suppliers’ and producers’ performance towards social
compliance.
SAI / SA8000
Social Accountability International, SAI, has developed an international
standard that has become one of the world’s preeminent benchmark for
improving working conditions, namely SA8000, which is based on
international human rights principles and ILO conventions.
Systain has documented experience in SA8000 on-site training in Asia
and is in addition a course organiser in collaboration with SAI in Europe.
BSCI
The Business Social Compliance Initiative, BSCI, is a non-profit
organisation with origin in Europe. The initiative is a business platform
for retailers engaging in the improvement of working conditions in
the supply chain. Systain was one of the multi stakeholder partners that
developed the BSCI code of conduct and qualifying system which is
used by all members worldwide. We work with qualifying suppliers
according to the BSCI standard on a daily basis.
GRI
The Global Reporting Initiative, GRI, is a multi stakeholder network
providing guidance for sustainability reporting. GRI is the world’s most
widely used sustainability reporting framework. Transparency and
stakeholder engagement and a focus on economic, environmental and
social performance are key factors for the reporting organisations.
Systain has been an active stakeholder in the development of the GRI
tools and is providing the service of support and coaching for
companies wishing to write their CSR report with a professional partner.
