Brief introduction in Sustainable Products: fields of activities

Case study: PURE WEAR

PURE WEAR is one example of defining and implementing sustainable products. PURE WEAR describes the purest fibre and represents one of the highest standards of ecologically optimized and non-toxic textiles. The cotton of all products bearing the certificate PURE WEAR comes from controlled organic cultivation. The aim was to produce attractive fashion of high quality for the consumer, while reducing the strain on soil, water and cotton farmers as much as possible.

Systain analyses processes and chemicals to make sure that PURE WEAR products do not harm health and safety of workers, environment and consumers. Textiles that pass this test can be called 'skin-friendly'. The analysis of the production concerning products and processes helps to avoid quality problems. Additionally, all relevant production processes will be analyzed regarding efficiency (including energy and water efficiency), consumption and environmental aspects. An assessment of the social working conditions is included in the analysis.
